ABOUT

The SFU Punjabi Students Association was established in 1996. Since it's establishment, the club has donated large amounts of money to deserving charities within the community, such as Canuck Place, Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Mamta Foundation of Canada, and the Surrey Urban Mission Society to name a few. The SFU PSA hosts many fundraising events throughout the year, all proceeds from these events are donated to different charities. Below are some of our events:

  • Fall Formal (Desi Essence), Summer Formal

  • Annual Culture Show (Punjabi Night Live)

  • Jashan Charitable Pub Night

  • Community Outreach and Sandwich Drives

The annual Culture show, Punjabi Night Live, provides an opportunity for our members to put on a show for friends and family and includes a fashion show, a short movie, skits, prizes, and much more! It's a way to embrace our Punjabi roots and culture and have a great night while raising money for a charity of our choice!
